Saying goodbye is never easy, especially to someone who has spent his entire adult life helping people with disabilities reach their maximum potential. On Friday, Sept. 27, friends, family, and coworkers honored Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services Assistant Commissioner James Myrick and thanked him for 40 years of service with a retirement ceremony in Montgomery.
People from all over the state packed the building to thank Myrick for his service, the opportunities he presented, and his willingness to go the extra mile throughout his career.
