To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Legacy Tour bus is rolling across the country to raise awareness and build excitement for this milestone anniversary.

Guest speakers Rep. Thad McClammy (D-Montgomery) and Gov. Robert Bentley both served as guest speakers for the event on the Capitol steps.

The “Road to Freedom” bus previously traveled to 48 states in 2007 to raise support for ADA Amendments Act. With 40 scheduled stops in 2015, Alabama is proud to have had two visits, in Birmingham on May 19 and Montgomery on May 21.
