Dec. 1 paychecks to include bonuses for eligible employees

Most state employees can expect a boost in their Dec. 1 paychecks.

The increase includes a one-time $400 bonus for state workers employed on Oct. 1 and continuously thereafter through Nov. 30STATE SEALcopy. Taxes and other deductions will cut that amount to $249.40.

That same check will also include the annual longevity bonus for state employees who have been with the state more than five years.

Employees with between five and 10 years of service will receive $600, which will be reduced to $374.10 by deductions. Those with 10 to 15 years with the state will receive $700, $436.45 after deductions. Employees with between 15 and 20 years of service will receive $800, or $498.80. Staff with 20 to 25 years of service will receive $900, or $561.15, while those with more than 25 years of service time will receive $1,000, or $623.50.
